Meet Your Chapter Leader
“I met Saya through an introduction. I attended one of her Minglers, loved what she was all about and went on to participate in the first Fear Experiment where we learned and performed improv together. I later participated in (another Fear Experiment) where we did storytelling together. Saya is a mentor and friend, someone I’ve drawn inspiration from as I’ve charted my own path. Living a life of yes means being active in the art of living, being intentional about how we show up and how we spend our limited time on the planet. It means feeling alive, facing our fears, taking risks, and being humble.”— Patty
Patty Morrissey believes our homes should “Spark Joy” and that our own definition of success is the only one that matters. She has an undergraduate degree in psychology and a masters degree in social work. An obsession with self-improvement and furthering the common good is the thread throughout her dynamic career in social work, higher education, tech startups, philanthropy, and consulting. As an organizing and lifestyle consultant, Patty applies her experience in clinical social work to unpack both the physical and emotional stuff that’s getting in your way so that you can become the person you are meant to be. In 2016, she became one of the first certified KonMari Consultants in the world outside of Japan and was dubbed a “Jedi-level practitioner of the KonMari Method” by Men’s Fitness Magazine and a “Magician” by CBS This Morning. She is an official lecturer for KonMari Media Inc., teaching workshops and consultant certification courses from NYC to Hong Kong. In 2020 she launched Clear & Cultivate in order to support people not only in clearing the clutter, but also in cultivating their best lives through media/content, consulting, workshops, training, and events. Beyond business, Patty volunteers in her community, runs a Little Free Library outside of her home in Huntington, New York, and tries to get outside as much as she can. Of all of her titles, Mom is the one of which she’s most proud.
